Theory and Hazard Perception Test
Before you can take your Mod 1 and Mod 2 motorcycle tests you must have a Motorcycle Theory and Hazard Perception Test pass (along with a valid CBT certificate). The Theory Test pass certificate is valid from 2 years from the date of passing.

What’s in the Theory Test?
The test lasts 57 minutes maximum and has a multi-choice question part and a video based hazard perception part.
Multiple-choice questions
The questions in the theory test are based on 3 books:
Study these to learn the rules and skills you’ll be tested on. You can buy them from most high street and online book shops.
The pass mark is 43 or more out of 50 questions.
Hazard Perception
Buy the online official guide to hazard perception for your PC or Mac to learn hazard perception skills and then test them.
The pass mark is 44 or more out of 75 points.
