Motorcycle Mod 2 Test Routes Farnborough
A motorcycle training school that only flogs around their local motorcycle Mod 2 test routes is not training you to ride as a thinking rider for after your test. As a thinking, planning rider with good processes for approaching junctions, roundabouts, dealing with developing hazards or traffic in general, you should be able to take your Mod 2 anywhere, be “in the moment” and demonstrate your ability to ride. You should not be trying to ride on your test “from memory”.
Motorcycle Mod 2 test routes in general will have a mix of
- Town centre type riding (Pedestrians, crossings, parked cars, busy traffic).
- Residential areas (Tight and blind junctions, parked cars, narrow areas).
- Faster flowing ring roads (Multi-lane roads and roundabouts, variable speed limits).
- Open roads with national speed limit (Demonstrate riding near and upto the speed limit depending on traffic and weather).
There are no tricks to catch you out but you will be expected to read road signs on your own and respond correctly. Here are 4 examples of where you would be left to get on with it, the examiner would not tell you how to deal them and therefore in some cases you would not be told where the route to follow goes, it should be very clear from the signage.
