Low Cost Commuting
With the rising cost of living affecting nearly every activity we do in our lives, commuting is one area where motorbiking can save you money. If you need to drive into the Congestion Charge Zone and / or the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) a car is going to cost you a minimum of £12.50 and possibly £25 per day. Ride a motorbike and it will be exempt from the Congestion Charge. Ride a motorbike that meets Euro 3 or later emission standards and you won’t have to pay the ULEZ either. Euro 3 emission standards generally came in 2007 so all bikes after that should comply but check your registration here to be sure, as many dealers discounted pre-Euro 3 bikes at the time to clear stock, also for Euro 4 and 5 changes. Motorbike parking can be free or only £1 a day e.g. within Westminster.
Taking the train and paying a fortune for the season ticket? Convert to a bike and you will also have something fun to do at the weekend.
